Welcome to the Lara Music Shop
We have so far made four CD’s, which have all received enthusiastic critical acclaim and two UK Country Radio Awards. Our style of music is most associated with bluegrass and American-style folk music, but it has its own flavour. There are several reasons for this. Charlie Boston, who has three albums, has written all the songs on his albums and, whereas he has been inspired by many American bluegrass artists, he is himself half British and half Australian. Ced Thorose grew up in the State of Maryland, USA, but has lived in Britain for more than thirty years and is married to Irish singer and guitarist, Mary O’Rourke. Bluegrass is a traditional form of music that began in Ireland and the British Isles and moved over to America. With these albums, we have brought it home.

	The Charlie Boston Band Dogwood Place Recorded in Nashville with some great American pickers and singers, including Rhonda Vincent, Alison Brown, Jim Hurst, Missy Raines, Wayne Benson, Jimmy van Cleeve and Monty Allen, this album was the winner of 2 UK Country Radio Awards and several further nominations.
